Club and Community Support White Ribbon Campaign

AFC Fylde Community Foundation and AFC Fylde Football Club have stepped forward to support the annual White Ribbon Campaign to end male violence against women.

The Foundation has been backing the national campaign for more than three years and has received a plaque recognising the organisation as official White Ribbon ambassadors in the community.

Staring from November 25th, the Foundation will take part in the ‘16 Days of Action’ campaign engaging with as many people as possible to drive home the important message that there is never any excuse for abuse.

As part of its commitment to the cause, the Foundation team were recently pictured in the community with an out-sized white ribbon to attract attention and raise awareness while the first team players donned t-shirts pledging their support.

Foundation Director Wesley Partington said he was pleased to be able to support such a worthwhile cause. He added: “Everyone at the Foundation, alongside the staff and players at the Football Club. support this campaign. There is no excuse for abuse, and we wanted to help deliver this powerful message across our local community.

“Our staff have been proudly wearing their White Ribbons alongside the first team players in their campaign t-shirts to show our solidarity.”

If you are a victim of male abuse or know someone that is there are organisations you can turn to for help. In the event of an emergency, call the Police on 999. You can also contact:
