Foundation celebrate success with Nest Lancashire!
A ground-breaking partnership between AFC Fylde Community Foundation and Nest Lancashire is helping to improve the lives of local young people who have faced tough times.
Nest Lancashire has been set up to support young people aged 5 to 18 who have been affected by crime or subjected to bullying, threats or harassment.
The Foundation prides itself on supporting those members of the community who are most in need. As part of this, they recently welcomed the boys and girls from Nest to take part in a unique day at Mill Farm Stadium.
The event was organised to celebrate the strength of the partnership between the two organisations and was an outstanding success.
As part of the occasion, each of the young people were presented with an individual goodie bag containing tickets to an AFC Fylde match and their own AFC Fylde kit to remember the day.
The Foundation team were delighted to host such a special event for young people who have experienced such difficult times in their lives.
Foundation Director Tom Hutton said: “Nest Lancashire do an incredible job supporting young people. It’s a fantastic organisation and we are incredibly proud to be working with them.
“For most of those who came to Mill Farm, it will have been the first opportunity they’ve had to do something like this and hopefully, along with their new kits, they left with memories that will last a lifetime.
“We have worked very closely with Nest Lancashire on quite a few projects and programmes now and I’m confident we can continue to build on that and carry on making a real difference in the community.”
