Foundation continues to provide sporting opportunities for Fylde families!
Helping to keep people physically activity and on the move has always been a top priority for AFC Fylde Community Foundation.
Even in the wake of the Coronavirus epidemic, that mission hasn’t changed. The official charitable arm of AFC Fylde is encouraging local people to get involved in virtual daily sports tutorials and games via its social media channels.
Determined to keep all residents active and engaged in all-inclusive family fun, the Foundation team are releasing three sports challenges and activity sessions every single day.
The short engaging clips encourage people of all ages and ability to get involved in their homes and gardens and to post the results online for everyone to share and enjoy if possible.
As part of the virtual sporting initiative, the Foundation aim to continue releasing one fun family challenge and two physical activity sessions daily which focus on developing children’s core skills and fundamental physical activity.
Community Development Manager at the Foundation, Matt Agnew, is proud the organisation can continue to deliver a fantastic sports agenda to local people In the Fylde.
He said: “The Foundation would like to emphasise that, whilst we all may be facing difficult times, we will be continuing to support our community.
“Whatever the age, whatever the limitations, we feel it is incredibly important for people take part in physical activity, for their mental health and physical health. It plays a huge part.
“I’m delighted we can continue to provide a great sporting offer during this time, even if it has to be virtually. I urge anybody who may be struggling to stay safe, stay active and to visit our social channels and try out some of our challenges.”
