Foundation Summer Activity Camps Are Good To Go!

Fun packed summer activity camps for local youngsters are good to go!

AFC Fylde Community Foundation have announced the exciting news that they will be running the popular camps across two locations this summer.

The committed team at the charitable arm of AFC Fylde have been working long and hard to ensure they can welcome the children of key workers into a safe, secure, and happy environment at both BActive Leisure Centre Warton and Kirkham St Michaels Primary School.

The Foundation has been aware of growing concern regarding the need for childcare throughout the long summer months. With more and more people needing to return to work demand has been increasing so its announcement regarding the summer activity camps has been enthusiastically received.

However, they will be operating with a reduced capacity, so the Foundation is urging anybody who wants to take advantage to book a place as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. Due to restrictions and safety requirements pre-booking is essential for both locations of the activity camps. To reserve a place Email  linus.welsh@afcfylde.co.uk or call 07394 566857.

Foundation Physical Activity Officer Lee Geraghty is delighted the organisation is able to meet the needs of local parents and children. He said: “Summer Activity Camps are a fantastic time of the year for us. To welcome back so many familiar faces and meet lots of new ones is always great for the team.

“We would like to reassure everybody that safety is our number one priority this summer. We spent many weeks discussing the camps with relevant parties, organisations, and authorities to ensure that we were able to run the activities in a manner that is safe, structured, and fun for the children to attend.

“Whilst it may be slightly different to previous years with the need for certain current restrictions, we are confident it will be a fantastic experience for everybody involved.”
