Foundation Team Help Transform Life of Fylde Woman!

Life has been transformed for a Fylde woman thanks to the support of AFC Fylde Community Foundation.

Without neither employment nor full-time education on the horizon, Stephanie High was struggling to find direction. The 31-year-old had lost confidence and motivation as to how to get her life back on track. In desperate need of guidance, she approached the Trust.

Now, after months of dedicated help by the Foundation’s Transformational Team, working in partnership with Kepak Convenience Foods, Stephanie is delighted to be returning to full-time education.

For more than a year, she attended weekly support sessions at Mill Farm working on areas such as low self-esteem, lack of motivation, CV building and employability skills.

In August she put all her hard work and determination to the test, applying for a place at Preston College and has now been informed she’s been successful.

The team at the Foundation who have witnessed Stephanie’s personal growth and development could not be happier at the news.

Foundation Transformational Coach David Lean who has been working with Stephanie said: “I am delighted to hear that Stephanie has succeeded in the path she has chosen.

“We worked hard to ensure she was prepared for employment or education and she showed us incredible commitment, making enormous progress throughout the sessions.

“I’m incredibly confident she will go on to great things and I’m looking forward to continuing to work with her during the next few months, offering my continued support.”

Stephanie is understandably proud of her success on the programme. She said: “The staff have supported me throughout. They have been there for me whenever I’ve been in need and, most importantly, they have given me a chance to better myself by helping me go back to college and pursue a new career, which I’m very excited about.”
