Loneliness Prevention Project

Supporting over 65's who are feeling lonely and isolated.

The Project

Are you or do you know somebody who is feeling lonely, isolated, missing family and friends or just wants somebody to talk to?

If the answer is yes, we are offering a one-to-one support service that can be delivered however you want in several ways including telephone calls, face to face meetings and video calls.

The Loneliness project will help support vulnerable over 65s and will focus on providing support and helping them to reintegrate back into the community in which they live. The project will develop and deliver different activities whilst working alongside local people to start new community groups and working collaboratively with all local partners in pursuit of the same goal.

The charitable arm of AFC Fylde Football Club will be working closely with the National League Trust, local business Kepak Convenience Foods and Fylde Borough Council to deliver a multi-strand partnership approach. The support from these organisations will enable the Foundation to run the programme, addressing the issue head on in the community.
