Back to school after six weeks of the Foundation's holiday camps

Summer is over and that means so are our holiday camps. It's not been the weather everyone was hoping for this summer but we hope every child that attended has had a great time at our camps.

Feedback from children, parents and care givers have once again confirmed the high quality of our holiday camps to have been incredibly successful. Hosting three separate camps at BActive Lightening Club in Warton, Kirkham St Michael's (KSM) Primary School & Fylde Sports and Education Centre (FSEC) brings its challenges but our staff work tirelessly to ensure the highest quality of delivery.

We have two multi-sport activity camps which are suitable for all children as no day is the same, they're constantly filled with different activities such as hockey, dodgeball and even planting at KSM.

It was the summer of the 2024 Olympics which always inspires the next generation of athletes and you never know, we could have had the pleasure of welcoming a future Olympian into one of our camps.

At BActive, we ran a series of relay races that the kids originally didn't want to do, but by the end of it they absolutely loved it and they were well & truly in the Olympic spirit.

Over at FSEC the football mad children joined us after another nearly tournament from the England men's teams. If you ever doubted Jude Bellingham's popularity, just pop down to FSEC one day and you'll see the amount of kids wearing the 21-year-old's name on the back of their shirts.

However, Nick Haughton is the main man around Fylde right now, the most inform goal scorer in England throughout 2024 has notched another five goals and an assist in the opening three games of the season, extending his record as the club's top goal scorer to 85 goals and 36 assists in 208 appearances.

He's keeping our Foundation staff on their toes as we are constantly having to update our stat sheet for the stadium tour we take the children on at the end of each week.

Our School Services Manager, Daniel Monckton, oversees the delivery of the camps and he said: "It's been a pleasure to be able to welcome so many happy faces to our three camps across Fylde.

"We understand that school holidays are a challenging period for parents and care givers, and finding a trusted provider for your children may not always seem easy, it remains our priority to provide a safe and welcoming environment that children and young people can be signed up to in confidence.

"We pride ourselves on the quality of our camps, something which is supported by child, parent & care giver feedback. Our aim is to continue delivering an enjoyable and friendly experience within our holiday camps, we hope to see everyone back here in October and we always look forward to welcoming new faces."

Our schools sports coaches can't wait to see everyone during the academic year as they deliver P.E support, Extra Curricular sessions and much more across many schools throughout Fylde.
