On Saturday 24th June, members of staff from AFC Fylde and AFC Fylde Community Foundation completed our first Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge, and now we need your help to reach our £5,000 target!
Director of Football Chris Beech and Foundation Director Wesley Partington were part of the team who set out for the famous Three Peaks Challenge, as Club and Community staff came together, along with participants, partners, and local sponsors, to raise funds for AFC Fylde Community Foundation.
Over £4,700 has been raised so far, and we are nearly at our target thanks to generous donations.
The Yorkshire Three Peaks includes tackling the fells of Pen-Y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough, with Club and Community Foundation tasked to complete the challenge in under 12-hours, which forms part of the Pennine way.
All money raised will go directly towards supporting AFC Fylde Community Foundation and the work that we do across the Fylde borough.
The official charity of AFC Fylde provides 18 programmes across three areas – Community Development, Schools, and Employability.
We deliver high quality programmes with a lasting impact throughout the Fylde Borough, which touch the lives of the whole community.
Wesley Partington, AFC Fylde Community Foundation Director, said: “It was great to see everyone come together to take part in our Three Peaks challenge.
“We are really grateful to our fantastic sponsors and donations which will go straight back into our Community Foundation.
“Well done to everyone who joined us on the challenge, and we look forward to taking on the Three Peaks in the future.”
