Football Development Centre
Where Young Players Grow
Our Football Development Centre offers weekly coaching for children aged 2 to 15, held at Fylde Sports & Education Centre, Mill Farm, Coronation Way, PR4 3JZ. Every session is open to all abilities and built to enhance a child’s game alongside their grassroots team, never to replace it. Players also get the chance to meet AFC Fylde First Team players, with a genuine pathway to be scouted by the AFC Fylde academy. To view all age groups and book, visit the Development Centre here.

From Toddlers to Teens
There’s a strand to suit every stage of a child’s journey. Mini Coasters (ages 2 to 5) run on Saturday mornings as a fun, football-first introduction built around balance, co-ordination and control. The core Development Centre (ages 5 to 12) runs on weekday evenings with skills work and match play, while our dedicated Girls Football Development Centres (ages 6 to 13) and keeper-specific Goalkeeper Development Centres (ages 6 to 14) offer focused coaching in the right environment. Take It Further
For players ready to push on, our Advanced Football Performance Centre (ages 10 to 14) goes deeper into the game. Each child follows a personalised development plan, with sessions focused on the tactical side of football, phases of play and transitions on and off the ball. AFC Fylde’s First Team Sports Scientist attends every seven weeks to monitor physical development and provide an individual report on where each player can improve.
